Rotary International 26th Consecutive Year of Entering the Rose Bowl Parade

R.I.'s entry into the 2006 Tournament of Roses Parade, entitled " The Magic of Caring",
celebrates the continued commitment to the global eradication of polio by
Rotarians worldwide. What better way to acknowledge the immunization of children
than with the scene depicted on our float?
This year's parade theme is "It's Magical" and this will be Rotary's 26th consecutive
year of participation in the annual Rose Parade in Pasadena, California.
Pictured above: North Stockton President Chris Hunefeld and son Billy visiting the
Pasadena Rotary Booth with "Jack", our tour guide and oldest member of the
committee, having been there all 26 years, and Jim Miceli, chairman 2005-2006 Rotary
Rose Float Committee. Also pictured, Chris's cousin Cindy Salcido Hunefeld and the
Interact Volunteers who spend days, 2 shifts a day putting this beautiful float together!
