RI President Stenhammar

Next Thursday, August 11, RI President Carl-Wilhelm Stenhammar will be the featured speaker at an Intercity Rotary Meeting at the Centre Plaza at the Double Tree Hotel in Modesto. The meeting will start at 12:00 and all clubs will have an opportunity to have new members inducted and PHFs awarded. There will be a roll call of clubs to let the RI President know what clubs are represented. There will be a reception for Club Presidents and District Leadership after the luncheon.

 

Foundation/Membership Seminar

Coming up quickly is our Foundation/Membership Seminar, August 20, registration-coffee is 8:00 AM and program starts 8:30. PDG Joe LaGuess, Rotary Regional Foundation Coordinator, will kick off the Foundation program with a report of what our District has done with and for The Rotary Foundation. PDG Phyllis Nusz and her team will report on her GSE trip to Romania. Susan Drake and Terry Hull, District Membership co-chairs along with some talented District Rotarians will handle the Membership portion. The cost is $20 each (which includes lunch) and the club’s list and check made to Rotary District 5220 should be sent to William Brown, 445 S. San Joaquin St., Stockton, CA 95203.
