Sandy and I just completed our 4^th club visit and we want to thank the clubs for their kindness. It is great to see the great projects our clubs are participating in. With the help of the Club Presidents, I have been recognizing some Rotarians for the "True Rotarian" award. The first four are:

RI President Carl-Wilhelm Stenhammar will be at the Centre Plaza at the Double Tree Hotel, Modesto Thursday, August 11, for a 12:00 luncheon. Tickets are $25.00 each, and we are asking each club to take sign-ups and send all together, rather than have individuals send for tickets, as it makes a lot of extra work. We have scheduled an 11:00 reception for Club Presidents and Assistant Governors and spouses.

This week is the first meeting of the Rotary year for a fresh batch of Club Presidents, I wish the best of everything for this year’s Presidents, they are a great group and I look for an outstanding Rotary year full of "Rotary Pride". We will celebrate your club’s success at the District Conference next April.

Saturday July 9, we will have a training session for Club Secretaries at the Library in Salida. Janine McClanahan and Steve Stroud will be demonstrating the Club Software with a laptop and projector. Cost is only $5 for refreshments and room renal. Contact Janine at 209-578-9999.
