ROTARY DISTRICT 5220 FRIDAY FACTS
Friday Facts, March 17

Hotel Rates Increase March 27
The unused rooms at the Tenaya Lodge (there is still a few) will go from our contracted rate of $135 to the regular rate of $213 on March 27. Forms to be faxed to the Hotel can be downloaded at www.rotary5220.org, the other form is to be filled out and sent to the address on the form. The District Conference committee and I have two goals for the District Conference, one is to have FUN (as in 17 Club Hospitality Suites, Mexican Fiesta, and Governors Ball) the other is to show our Rotary Pride (Saturday as Rotary Pride Day, Rotary Pride moments from some of our clubs, and Rotary Pride awards at the Governors Ball).

Club Project Pictures
Each club is asked to send 4X6 pictures of club projects, either community or international. About 10 from each club will be used at the District Conference for table decorations. Send them to Carol Kennedy, 504 Barsoti, Madera, CA 93637.

New Member
Welcome new member of the Rotary District 5220 family:

Loss in the Rotary Family
I am sorry to report that 25-year member of Stockton Rotary, George Tabuchi has passed away. Rotarian George was a multiple Paul Harris Fellow and his Rotary family will miss him. Services are scheduled tomorrow at Morris Chapel UOP at 11AM.

Presidential Citation
The following clubs have sent me their forms to qualify for the Presidential Citation, and they have been endorsed and sent to RI.
Angels Camp Centennial
Ceres
North Merced
Salida
Stockton East
Tracy
Tracy Sunrise
I congratulate these clubs and encourage all of our remaining clubs to send the completed form to me as soon as possible so we can announce Presidential Citation Clubs at the District Conference.

GSE to Honduras
Our GSE team to Honduras is in the final days of their four-week trip. They are scheduled to return home tomorrow. The last report I received from our team leader Anita Hellam, the team was in the foothills in a town named Santa Barbara. Clubs should consider asking our team to come do a program about their trip. The team leader’s email is anitajhellam@yahoo.com and she is in the Modesto Rotary Club.
