ROTARY DISTRICT 5220 FRIDAY FACTS
 Dec. 2, 2005
District Conference
This is the last month to get in on the discounted rate to register for the District Conference. The Conference is scheduled for April 28-30 at the Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite. The conference kicks off on Friday at 11:00 AM and then adjourns to buses for a 5-hour tour of Yosemite with box lunch. Friday evening will feature a Mexican Fiesta along with mariachi band. The RI President’s representative is Frank Collins, a Past RI Vice President. In addition, RI Director Jerry Hall will be our guest. We have 12 clubs signed up to compete in the “dueling hospitality suites” for Friday and Saturday nights. The black-tie optional Governor’s Ball on Saturday night will feature recognition of the best “Rotary Pride” individual and club. Download registration forms at http://www.rotary5220.org/Calendar/confreg.htm.

Club Elections Due
Club elections or confirmations of Presidents Elect and selection of Presidents Nominee should be completed by the end of this month. When the clubs elections are held, please advise DGE Bob Hobbs at rbbhobbs@comcast.net and DGN Dick Wyatt at wyatt@psnw.com.

It is also a good time to look in your club for a potential candidate for District Governor. Candidates must have had a full year as Club President, been in Rotary for 7 years, and been active at the club and district levels. The District Nomination Committee, chaired by PDG David Gallagher, will meet on April 8, 2006, and applications of candidates must be in to the District Governor by March 8, 2006. Successful candidate will serve following Dick Wyatt in the Rotary year 2008-2009.

Peru Trip
There are still 4 seats available for the February trip to Peru to check out completed water projects and scout new ones. The group is also going to do some sightseeing. Contact Rotarian Milt Camp at Miltcamp@aol.com for further information.
